Thank you to everyone who came to Cahoots Festival and made it the bee’s knees! We sang together, dreamed together, danced together, prayed together, conspired together, laughed together, learned together, and by golly, did we eat together.

May we carry the energy of this weekend back to our communities and continue on in our work for a more just and beautiful world, for God’s kingdom here and now and to come.

Check out our  Cahoots Photo Album to see more of the festival in action.

We Join Because

Because of the vacant cathedrals
Because an hour a week is not enough
Because our gospel failed to be good news to all people
Because ministry should be a people with a mission
Because we love our Saviour Jesus Christ

We will join
the global
homegrown
all or nothing
multi-lingual
keep it simple

age old
Spirit led
Jesus following
revolution!

Our Way of Life

our way of life
all may believe
an extra chair
at every meal
an extra bed
in every home
a place for those
who are unknown
are welcomed in
as Jesus Christ
who is our Lord

Fertilize Your Soul Retreat

We are please to announce that the Beansprout 'Fertilize Your Soul' retreat will be October 25-27 in Brussels, Ontario at Andrew and Becky's Farm. They have moved since the last retreat, so once you sign up we will send out more details on how to get there, what to bring, what will be eating and more.

This year's theme is What's Next?: Envisioning our Future

Many folks are in periods of transitions, making decisions and visioning what their futures will entail including what projects/ideas to bring to fruition. We'd love to focus on supporting each other as we encourage, imagine and discern our individual and collective futures. Should we live in a bus? Should we move to the country? Should we start a new monastic intentional community? Should we start a Catholic Worker? Should we build an earth ship/ land co-op/ co-house....? There are many transformative ideas bubbling at the surface.

Pernell Goodyear, a church planting pioneer, will lead a visioning session Friday night to aid us with the tools to support one another and make clear our goals. We'll be also canning tomatoes, assembling a shed, harvesting root vegetables, having a hootenanny and discussing issues and topics recommended by you.

If you would like to propose another activity or discussion please email us.

In the farmhouse there is room for about 14 people to sleep. There is 2 acres of land for camping outside. Please RSVP so that space can be reserved by emailing jared both at gmail dot come.

The recommended cost is $25 which includes food and a donation to the farm.
